Poetry demands human compassion. Without which poetry becomes just jumble of dead words, void, a lifeless entity. Who would like to read that poem which is just a formation of words and sound without any true soul”? ~~~~NilavroNill Shoovro

Alicia Kuberska

NilavroNill Shoovro is my friend, although we live in different countries. Thousands of kilometers separate us, but  the love of poetry brings us closer together. The poems of the Indian poet captivate with their subtle poetics, sensitivity to the world around us and the topics they deal with. I am happy that I was able to publish his book. An apparently difficult thing happened – an Indian poet, writing in English, was published by a Polish publisher. In 2020, a book of poetry entitled “Unsigned Epitaph” appeared. Feel free to read it, to be able to see the intimate world of the author.

NilavroNill Shoovro is a master of introspection, analysis and transposition of the observed into skillful poetic language. With an assiduity recalling Camus’s Sisyphus, NilavroNill Shoovro investigates the frailty of the human condition, the perishable love, the impermanence of values and feelings. He is aware that man and woman are doomed to suffer, but he also realises that they have no other choice than to accept the challenge and beat it through this very acceptance. Thus, the negation turns to affirmation and to the acquiescence of life as a unique gift”.

“I consider it an honour to have met Nilavronill, a man who goes out of his way to spread the cultures belonging to different areas of the world. His contribution, in this field, is addressed to thousands of readers who through his monthly publications can feel part of a wider world and grasp the sensibilities of distant poets. Indeed, the reading of verses that express the emotions of man offers the possibility of considering the earth as a common village which makes it easier to break down distances and barriers. Nillavronill is also the symbol of modernity having been able to use the mass media with extreme creativity and intelligence so giving poetry new life.”
